Uncorrectable data Error
Gurus,
I am receiving the following errors on a Sun Ultra 10 (IDE) running Solaris 7: unix: WARNING: /pci@1f,0/pci@1,1/ide@3/dad@0,0 (dad0): unix: Uncorrectable data Error: Block 122e50 unix: WARNING: /pci@1f,0/pci@1,1/ide@3/dad@0,0 (dad0): unix: disk not responding to selection unix: WARNING: /pci@1f,0/pci@1,1/ide@3/dad@0,0 (dad0): unix: ATA transport failed: reason 'reset': retrying command unix: WARNING: interrupt level 4 not serviced I am having the SA execute a "format, analyze, read" command to verify that Solaris will pick up the bad block. What is the method to have Solaris exclude the bad block so that I do not see this in the future? I wil summarize. Thank You, Paul Fiengo sunmanagers mailing list sunmanagers (AT) sunmanagers (DOT) org |
