Summary: pull out/put in GUI console won't reset console hung by SAM
Thanks to all who responded, esp Mr Mueller for the patience
& responses again & again. We don't have any other accounts to access the system at command line, both oracle & root have been disabled. Actually, at the console, if we click "" to switch to "Command Line login", root can still login though it's disabled & after tt all we need to do to enable back the accounts are: "/usr/lbin/modprpw -k root" "/usr/lbin/modprpw -k oracle" or to null the passwords (if we've forgotten the passwords) : /usr/sam/lbin/usermod.sam -F -p "" root /usr/sam/lbin/usermod.sam -F -p "" oracle Having lost the above chances as SAM garbled the screen (& we press more keys to complicate it, <Tab<Enter> DownArrow key twice <Entershould have exited the garbled SAM for us but we messed up this chance) The other chance was to use MP login as Admin, choose C & press Press Control + Shift + e (then release all keys) Press c (release) Press f We lost this chance too probably SAM garbled the console GUI So finally to login to MP, choose CM, choose RS (reset) at menu below MP MAIN MENU: C: Console VFP: Virtual Front Panel CM: Command Menu CL: Console Log SL: Show Event Logs CSP: Connect to Service Processor SE: Enter S Session HE: Main Help Menu X: Exit Connection |
