Conflict in Port / SAP Installation/Upgrade
SAs Administering HP-UX/SAP Servers:
I believe that I am having a port conflict over here. The SAP BASIS Admins are unable to bring up a new SAP instance after an upgrade from their end. This is the error he gets: make: multithreaded, ASCII, 64 bit, optimized pid 6407 [Thr 01] LG Q01=MsSInit, MSStart (Msg Server 1 6407) [msxxserv_mt. 1828] [Thr 01] SigISetDefaultAction : default handling for signal 18 [Thr 01] LG Q0I=NiIBindSocket: bind (226: Address already in use) [nixxi.cpp 3227] *[Thr 01] ERRR =NiIBindSocket: SiBind failed for hdl 1 / sock 9* (SI_EPRT_INUSE/226; I4; ST; 0.0.0.0:3900) [nixxi.cpp 3227] [Thr 01] ERRR =MsSCommInit: NiBufListen(3900) (rc=NIESERV_USED) [msxxserv_mt. 10180] [Thr 01] ERRR =MsSInit: MsSCommInit (internal) [msxxserv_mt. 1882] [Thr 01] ERRR =main: MsSInit [msxxserv_mt. 5950] [Thr 01] LG Q02=MsSHalt, MSStop (Msg Server 6407) [msxxserv_mt. 5993] I tried to check for conflicts using (netsat -a|grep <port#>) but I dont see any ports (226,3227, 3900) etc. etc. I dont see these ports in my /etc/services file too. Anybody had similar port related issues before? Any suggestions? -Kennedy |
