backup multiple servers with a single tape drive

Yes, you are able to manage also non autoloader drive, but I don't see the
advantage to have tivoli if you don't have an auto loader or a library.
Regarding the rest of the questions:

To backup multiple mksysb you must use multiple tapes. Mksysb creates a boot
sector on the tape, so it is overwritten every time you re-write the tape.
You have a chance using Tivoli Sysback ( I don't remember the exact name of
the product).
For the data you could write multiple savevg on the same tape, but it is a
little bit tricky, using TSM you will solve most of the problems.
Usually I suggest to have one tape one tape or to take tivoli. But consider
this: if you reach the end of the tape, TSM will wait to have a new tape
and will not complete the backup until you have not changed the old tape
with a free one.
Finally: TSM works better with at least 2 drives, it is related to
"reclamation".

Hello,
I've got a 3580 tape drive (not an autoloader) connected to one LPAR on
P570.
Can I backup multiple LPARs, both mksysb and savevg on one tape? , can I
keep multiple days of backup of one LPAR on a single tape? The tape has
400GB capacity.
I am getting Tivoli soon, am I able to use TSM to manage non autoloader
drive?

Thanks for your advice.
