Does the license cover the actual application or the data developed
utilizing it? If the application itself is covered by the license, where
are the sources? I did a quick browse but found no download link and
would be interested to check it out.

Should've rewritten that as I signed up while writing it; I went from
"I'll wait til there's a ToS" to "I'll fib about my gender and address".

I should also say that, despite any apparently grumbling from me here,
this is a v interesting project with strong potential and nice touches
(like the use of Flickr).
