Need help with Safeboot
Hi all,
I need help with safeboot. I don't know much about it, but since it is used to lock down computers from theft I am assuming that it blocks access both at the bios and probably some encryption for the harddrive as well.
My dad has a couple year old ThinkPad A31 2652-C5U from a company that is now dissolved. It was his second computer and the password for his first is not the same as he never got to use it. He got a great deal on cable internet but didn't stop to realize that he only has this old computer that's locked down to use it on. Go figure.
Now, I'm hoping that there is a way to reset safeboot but that is wishful thinking. I don't know much about laptops when it comes to changing out motherboards but maybe, just maybe, you guys can prevent me from learning. Worst comes to worst, he has some parts to put into another thinkpad.
Sorry for the long post for a simple question. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Rob
