Unless I miscounted a zero, it looks like there's an arbitrary 1
gigabyte limit on the cache size. Try bumping that up and see what
happens. I've no idea whether it will violate any other assumptions in
the code, so do so at your own risk.

Just for the archives

I have increased the high end cachesize value to 2000000000, and I've
set the following values:
# grep . DATALIMIT CACHESIZE
DATALIMIT:1887436800
CACHESIZE:1800000000

All has been working for about 48 hours without reports of trouble.
