UNable to run Dos programs from WinXp

Hello all,

Please help.

I am having a Win XP home edition.

It was running okay....then suddenly my xp cannot load DOS programs from shortcuts.

It just goes to DOS and return back to windows everytime a DOS access shortcut is clicked.

Using Start RUN and cmd , it does go to DOS and stay there not returning to Windows thru DOS shortcuts.

Anyone can help?
