Full Dos screen

I am using Qbasic 1.1 with Windows XP Pro SP2
When I run a Qbasic program I get a full screen but if I enter:
CLS: PRINT “:Hello”
All that appears on the screen is ello. The H is not visible
At the bottom of the screen where it says ‘ Press any key to continue ‘
The P is not visible
How can I set it up so that all the text is visible?
