IR support for Sabrent SBT-TVFM
Hi folks, finally found a couple free hours and wrote support for the Sabrent
SBT-TVFM's remote; see attached. It works, but there is one quite annoying issue: when pressing a button on the remote, it repeats that keypress until another key is pressed. The remote does not seem to send out anything on keyup, and I cannot figure out how else to limit this within the scope of my patch. In searching for a solution, I ran across a post by someone with the same problem, but the only thing he came up with does not seem like a viable solution: Suggestions please? Finally, I think I've mapped all the remote keycodes to their most logical equivalents, but I could not find suitable ones for the "Function" (there is a separate mode key) and "+100" keys, so I have mapped them to KEY_F13 and KEY_F14, respectively. I've been trying to get the IR working on the SBT-TVFM. How can I get a hold on your patch?
Thanks, Miki |

Re: IR support for Sabrent SBT-TVFM remote
I found a mail list that contained the patch that was formerly attached, here (remove the spaces to get the correct url)
www. spinics. net/lists/vfl/msg14106.html and here www. spinics. net/lists/vfl/msg19520.html I'm not quite sure how to implement it, but I have a feeling that it will be discussed somewhere on the video4linux site or on the lirc site. If anyone can point me in the right direction, or has a copy of the lirc.conf or lircrc file(s) for the Sabrent SBT-TVFM remote control I would greatly appreciate it. |
