System File Manager
I notice that in:
System Settings =Default Applications that there is no option to set the default File Manager. I think that this is a needed feature. Some uninformed users have been saying that they want to uninstall Dolphin. Clearly such drastic action isn't needed. All that is needed is a way to set the default File Manager to: Dolphin Konqueror <Fill in PATH> Probably also need a place to modify the default directory that it opens with. Note that Dolphin opens with: "KGlobalSettings::documentPath()" which I believe is correct. KFMClient should be changed so that KGlobalSettings::documentPath() is the default directory for 'filemanagement'. -- JRT |

System File Manager
Hi James,
I notice that in: System Settings =Default Applications that there is no option to set the default File Manager. I think that this is a needed feature. I agree and will take care to implement this for KDE 4.2. I'll have a look on this too for 4.2, but have to check first the current state Best regards, Peter |
