SATA Connector Question

Is the SATA connector on a 2.5" notebook drive a different SATA
connector than is found on the 3.5" desktop drive? I need to copy a
notebook drive, and the connector at least looks different. If it is
different, where can I find a suitable SATA-to-IDE or SATA-to-SATA
adapter cable? I already have a SATA-to-IDE adapter for 3.5" internal
drives.

The connector is the same. On a 3.5" setup the data and power are usually seperate, on a 2.5" it is usually a one piece connector (power and data).

If you are trying to plug a 2.5" into a 3.5" setup you should be OK, not the other way around as the 2.5" setup will not normally be able to provide sufficent power to the 3.5" drive.
