modeling and workstation cards

Using an NVidia G-Force 6200 gaming card, I'm finding that the
modeling process in 3DStudio slows down quite
a bit at about 5 MB file size. The files load very slowly and the
objects take a long time to maneuver. Would a
card like the ATI Fire GL V5600 improve the capacity for modeling? I
talked to sales at ATI and they didn't have
a clue.
