Virtual volumes question

Hi Skylar,

I'm confused by your question. You say you are doing migration from the
target to the source. But that doesn't make sense. In server-to-server
virtual volumes, data is sent from the source to the target. Your
configuration shows that you have a storage pool called NSITE-MALI on the
source that uses the server device class W_MALI. Are you migrating data to
that storage pool from a disk storage pool? If so, then when you do that,
you will see the archive filespace for the source server on the target
source get larger. You can see the virtual volumes on the source server by
looking at your volume history file (q volhist). When these volumes are
reclaimed or deleted, then the source sends a delete archive filespace
command to the target.

I'm testing out virtual volumes at our site, and I'm trying to figure
out how to get virtual volumes deleted from the target server. When I do
migration on the source server from the target server, the occupancy on
the source server goes down but the target server stays the same. I'm
using a DISK storage pool on the target server for the storage pool.
I've never used virtual volumes before, so I'm kind of in the dark.
