Rebuilding a volume history file

Hi!
I don't understand your reply.
A BAckup VLHistory just makes a backup of the currently incomplete
volume history file. How would that help me?

Hi, Eric -

The file is a copy of the information in the TSM database, generated
by TSM, usually automatically via the VLUMEHistory server option,
but also by manual invocations of the BAckup VLHistory command. The
principal purpose of the file is as a reference to TSM database
recovery operations.
