Linux kernel tuning for Sybase ASE 12.5.x
What do you mean by a lot of servers?
Start at the top and work down. Given that this works in another environment its most likely configuration issues. List your servers, ports, memory allocated, cpus allocated, disk partitions used. - check them - in fact go thru the installation parameters for each server. It only needs 1 rogue parameter to give random faults. Matthias Apitz wrote: > Hello, > Is there some Linux kernels tuning for Sybase ASE 12.5.x on top of it? We are facing some performance problems with our application working with this Sybase version, even completely locked ASE when launching a lot of dataservers in hardware with 8-16 CPU's. Interestingly too is that we face more such problems on Linux and not on Solaris/SPARC with the same ESQL/C application suite. Thanks in advance for any pointers > matthias |
